Welcome to Petalhood. We’re a small, female-owned brand run by women who are obsessed with plants (obviously), even if our track record with keeping them alive isn’t exactly spotless. Not to brag, but let’s just say we’re as good at designing shirts as we are at overwatering a succulent. Whoops. 

We believe what you wear is more than just clothing—it’s a way to share who you are. It’s how you tell the world, “Hey, I’m a plant person,” without actually having to say, “Hey, I’m a plant person.” Our designs are for folks who know their love for monstera leaves pairs perfectly with a good sense of humor. These shirts aren’t just clothing; they’re invitations to connect, or at least a way to dodge small talk about the weather (and let’s be honest, we could all use more ways to avoid that).

Oh, and because plants (and people and animals and microbes) deserve a planet to thrive on, we’re big on sustainability. But let’s be real: we’re selling T-shirts. We’re not claiming to save the planet with T-shirts (though wouldn’t that be amazing?). BUT we promise to do everything we feasibly can to reduce our impact. It starts with offering only 100% cotton tees (yes, we know polyester blends are sooo soft, but we simply can’t justify polluting the oceans—and even the air we breathe—with more microplastic fibres). It continues with a more sustainable business model of producing on demand, which minimizes material waste, and choosing a printing partner committed to sustainability over profit. Yes, that means less profit for us too. Our printing partner uses only water-based inks and adheres to ethical manufacturing processes. We’re currently also looking into ways to switch to recycled packaging. Stay tuned for updates on that front!
